Over its 50+ year history Curtis has evolved into a critical partner for the steel industry in Saskatchewan due to its specialized expertise and safety track record. In addition, Curtis Environmental has a 35+ year track record providing container recycling services to the agricultural industries in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Led by a team of seasoned industry veterans and headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan, Curtis has grown over the years by creating solutions for its customers. The business operates in three core divisions: Curtis Industrial, Curtis Environmental, and Curtis Construction, as detailed below.
DIVISIONS
Curtis Industrial is a leading provider of maintenance services and equipment to the steel industry in Saskatchewan having provided the vast majority of 3rd party equipment to the largest steel mill in Western Canada.
In addition, Curtis Industrial provides metal recycling and hauling services, which includes car crushing, bailing, metal processing and hauling of by-product from the steel mill in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Through its centrally located facility in Regina, Curtis can store and manage the logistics for companies requiring the use of its private rail spur (one of only two in Regina) and its large storage yard.
Curtis prides itself on the long-standing relationships built over its history of providing safe and reliable solutions to its customers while continuing to expand the services provided.
Curtis Environmental is the largest recycler of plastic containers used in the agriculture industries in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
In operation for 25+ years with operations in Naicam and Regina Saskatchewan, the Curtis Environmental division collects, shreds, cleans and stores processed containers prior to them being sold for repurposing.
In 2017, Curtis purchased the 50% Joint Venture partner with a focus on continuing to upgrade its facility and recycling capabilities by adding a state-of-the-art mobile shredder and designing a cleaning line to provide for a better end-market product.
Curtis Environmental is constantly seeking new container recycling opportunities and customers seeking recycled product.
Curtis Construction provides excavation and grading services to the greater Regina, Saskatchewan area and adjacent geographies.
Built on a reputation of reliable, safe and on-time delivery of services the division is led by seasoned managers who can deliver on large and complex site work projects for municipalities, large scale residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Curtis Construction acts as a subcontractor for some of the largest construction companies in Western Canada and leading developers throughout the region.
